Hierbas Madre Tierra Herbs

“The moment one definitively commits oneself, then Providence moves as well.  All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred.  A stream of events issues from the decision, raising in one’s favor all manner of unforeseen accidents, meetings and material assistance that no one could have dreamed would come their way.  Whatever you can do or dream you can do, begin it.  Boldness has genius, power and magic in it.  Begin it now.” Attributed to Goethe

So, here I go, taking the plunge again.  After 5 years of studying herbs, gardening, tasting them and enjoying their power, I am formally beginning Hierbas Madre Tierra Herbs, a dialogue/consulting practice with which to connect together with the healing power of nature.  In these hard economic times, this seems the thing to do, to continue to take up the healing power of the universe, as we all work for a better world, to do my part in pushing forth the whirlwind of transformation of oppression through our connections to centuries of earth wisdom and knowledge and cooperation con La Madre Tierra.  This is what our communities have done for millennia, and now it is up to us to continue that work and celebration.

I am finishing up my last two classes for my herbal studies second certificate and I will begin my apprenticeship soon, so folks can get 50% off until I work through that and I’m flexible because this is not a capitalist venture.  Honoring and giving a fair wage for the work.  I’m excited to work together with y’all on this, because it really will be collaborative work in deeping our connections to the healing the earth provides.  It will take a commitment on all our parts, because follow up is key, because the power of herbs, balance through nutrition and working towards a healthier world is a process that takes it’s time in working towards transformation.

Since I am not a doctor, I cannot diagnose, nor do I want to, and balance is not about dis-ease anyway, but about harmony, staying connected and being open to learning from la Madre Tierra.  I’m happy to share what I know and have learned, to see if it is useful for you in your life to end the spectre of oppression that often hangs over us, our communities, our peoples.

I’m offering what I know with my brain, heart about tools/skills to share and to heal, otras herramientas/habilidades para compartir y para sanar!

I’m very open to questions, concerns, and dialoguing about this as it goes, let me know.

Peace in and out,
